It\u2019s hard to choose the perfect seasonal cocktail when it\u2019s November but the weather is more like July. You\u2019ve grown tired of the light fruity summer cocktails and it\u2019s not cold enough for the fall cocktails that you usually cozy up with on those chilly autumn nights. Don\u2019t worry we have the perfect cocktail for these trying times, the Tennessee Rose.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Easy To Drink?<\/h3>\n<p>When I first looked at this drink recipe I saw Jack Daniels which is a staple of my fall drink arsenal. But I also saw Grapefruit Juice, and Lemon Juice as the other primary ingredients. I thought all of that citrus combined with the slightly acidic Jack would make this drink too acidic. That would make it hard to drink more than one in a single sitting. I\u2019m happy to report that I was totally wrong. Believe it or not, this cocktail is reasonably smooth.<\/p><!--CusAds-->\n<h3>Tennessee Rose Tastes Better Than It Sounds<\/h3>\n<p>The name Tennessee Rose sounds like my prom date&#8217;s twitter handle, but unlike her it has taste (and probably most of it&#8217;s teeth). The Tennessee Rose has a grapefruit aroma that leads you to assume that grapefruit will be the primary flavor, but that is not the case. The first taste that you encounter is that signature Jack Daniels flavor, which quickly fades into a pleasing citrus zest. Lastly the cocktail finishes with a bit of tanginess which I\u2019m certain comes from the combination of Grapefruit Juice and the Cr\u00e8me de Cassis.<\/p>\n<!--CusAds--><p>Overall the Tennessee Rose was a big surprise. Even though the Jack Daniels taste stands out at first (as it tends to do), it\u2019s integration with the other ingredients is superb. \u00a0Additionally this cocktail is easy to make with only four ingredients that you can pour into a shaker with some ice and serve quickly.
